Who are we?
The Studio 30 Art Club was formed on January 26, 1981 in Victoria, BC, Canada. There were eighteen original members and now, there are approximately forty. Club members work in a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oil, colour pencil, ink, and pastel.
The objectives of the Club are threefold:
Provide an entertaining evening with guest artists giving demonstrations;
Share our common interest, and enthusiasm; and
Promote and provide venues for the exhibition and sale of our artwork.
Why are we called Studio 30?
Our name comes from the fact that the group originally was linited to 30 artists. The Club is currently limited to 50 members.
When do we meet?
The group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays each month September through May. Our meetings begin at 6:45 p.m.
What do we do at meetings?
The second Wednesday meeting is variable in activities and may involve a demonstration, a paint night or a critique night. The fourth Wednesday is a business meeting followed by a demonstration by a local artist.
Where do we meet?
All club meetings take place at the Les Passmore Centre, 286 Hampton Road (near the Tillicum Mall).
How do I join?
