After a very satisfying decades long career in Microbiology, Jane is so grateful to have found another passion. Working in watercolour with a creative, inspiring community of artist friends, she has been entranced by the intricacies of light and shadow in water and also by the small details found in the reflection of shapes and colours in glass and metal.
The clarity and luminosity of watercolour lends itself well to so many different subjects, both in the natural world and the more abstract. Recently, an expanding interest in the alchemy of the universe has led Jane to paint colourful birds, galaxies, and stellar events. The joyful exploration of new subject matter and immersion in the painting process provides her life with wonder and possibilities!
