Judi Beck

Victoria, British Columbia has been Judi’s home for almost 30 years. Judi’s studies and career in forestry and science, both in Canada and abroad, enabled her to blend her love of forests, plants, wildlife and the outdoors with her enthusiasm for art.

Laurene Stanners

Laurene has been drawing and painting since childhood.  While she has a diploma in advertising art, her passion is fine art and conveying to others the wonders of nature. Acrylics are her main medium of choice, yet she also enjoys creating with watercolours, pastels and ink.

Donna Miller

Born and raised in northern Alberta, Donna moved with her husband and two sons to Victoria in 1985. After retiring from a fulfilling 30-year nursing career at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, she has finally found time to put her attention towards art. She is drawn to watercolour as her medium.

Carol Nuernberger

Carol is a self-taught artist, who has painted all her life. Born and raised in Manitoba, she was fascinated and inspired with the rugged beauty of Canada’s boreal forest.  After several years living and working in Manitoba and later Ontario, she settled in Victoria and now it is the ocean that calls to her.  The beauty of British Columbia provides a constant inspiration.

Clare O’Kelly

The power and beauty of nature, the colour and delicacy of growing things, continually inspire Clare, and she never tires of experimenting in watercolour to try to express the awe that nature brings.

Jane Bishop

After a very satisfying decades long career in Microbiology, Jane is so grateful to have found another passion. Working in watercolour with a creative, inspiring community of artist friends, she has been entranced by the intricacies of light and shadow in water and also by the small details found in the reflection of shapes and colours in glass and metal. 

Linda Mulhall

Linda loves to paint – both the feeling of paint on the brush and working with colour and texture.  She loves to create beauty.  The west coast and the earth constantly enthrall her, and she struggles to find ways to interpret the essence of this experience.

Donna Denman

Born in Victoria, Donna has always been Inspired by the beauty of Vancouver Island. Throughout her life she has tried a variety of artistic mediums and has come to appreciate the versatility and spontaneity of Watercolour.

Kathryn Compton

Kathryn Compton has lived on the West Coast most of her adult life, both on Vancouver Island and Vancouver. In Vancouver she was a member of the Burnaby Artist Guild and when she moved back to the Island in 2009, she searched patiently for another group to paint with and finally found Studio 30.

Shirley Sarens

Shirley Sarens has been painting and creating art for twenty years. She works primarily in acrylic and mixed media, enjoys watercolour and drawing media and creates striking art cards from her paintings.

Karen Wilk

Born and raised in Victoria BC, Karen enjoys experimenting with acrylics and loves creating texture with molding paste, gels and mixed media. You will also find some of her work done in watercolours, oils and ink. She is especially known for her beautiful acrylic abstract beachscapes.
